Unfortunately today the attempts of unauthorized access to users' computers happen very frequently.
These attempts are less troublesome matter, less punishable and more advantageous than for example hacking the network of Internet service provider. The matter is that in order to hack a computer it is necessary to break into a security system at several levels and after that gain access to system files and damage the computer or harm company. According to current Ukrainian legislation a suit can be brought against the hacker with the possibility of imprisonment.

Now let's examine second case - hacking of the user's computer. When hacker gets into user computer by modem, he gets login and password for working in Internet. In this case Internet service provider can't bring a sue against hacker and unprotected user can't prove anything. As a result hacker gains access to Internet at the expense of the user.

Support service of IP Telecom alarmed by this problem examined 50 randomly selected users, frequently working in Internet. Unfortunately the results were disappointing. From these 50 users:

1) 23 users give for free the access to their files ('come anybody, take what you want:). Including password and login files, which can be decrypted in a few minutes by having necessary software (which can be found in Internet);
2) 17 users computers were infected by 'trojan horse' virus (its task is to retrieve logins and passwords)

Thus 50% of users who are working in Internet absolutely don't think about security of their computers

2) Restrict access to your computer, when you are working in Internet. For this open
'Start->Control Panel->Network->TCP/IP Dial-Up adapter->Bindings'. And unmark ' 'File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks'.
